Verdell L. Reeser, Sr.
YORK HAVEN – Verdell L. Reeser, Sr., 79, of York Haven, passed away Wednesday, November 11, 2020 at his home surrounded by family in York Haven. He was the husband of Irma (Zeihmann) Reeser who he married 59 years ago on May 6, 1961.
Mr. Reeser was born August 2, 1941 in York Haven and was the son of the late Leslie Reeser, Sr. and Clara (Shelley) Reeser.
In 1959 he graduated from Northeastern High School in Manchester. He was a partner of Reeser Bros Concrete in York Haven. Mr. Reeser proudly served his country in the United States Army.
In addition to his wife Mr. Reeser is survived by his son Verdell Reeser, Jr., and his wife Diane of York Haven; his daughters Irma Rodgers Haas of Dover, Connie Robison and her husband William of York Haven, Stephanie Reeser of York Haven and Sherry Dugan of York Haven; 9 grandchildren, Anthony Rodgers and his wife Ellie, Nicole Zengerle and her husband Michael, Justin Haas and his wife Nicole, Kyle Haas and his wife Marina, Jason Robison, Adam Robison and his wife Danielle, Shelley Dugan and her companion Devin, Katelynn Reeser and her companion Austin, and Ryan Reeser; 15 great grandchildren; his brother, Lowell Reeser of York Haven and his sister Marian Malehorn of Etters. Mr. Reeser was preceded in death by his daughter Shelley Reeser, his son-in-laws Michael Rodgers and Steven Haas; his brothers Leslie Reeser and Zane Reeser, and his sisters Yvonne Reeser, Jean Kister, Theda Cooper and Margaret Busser.
His funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 87 South Main Street, Mount Wolf. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 AM Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Manchester Lutheran Cemetery. Officiating at the service will be Reverend Stephany Sechrist from Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church. York County Veterans Honor Guard will provide flag folding honors at the graveside.
Face Masks and social distancing is required while visiting with the Reeser family.
