William E. Brown

Mount Wolf – William E. Brown, 78, of Mount Wolf, passed away peacefully with his sister by his side on Sunday, October 3, 2021, at Manor Care North.

William was born March 18, 1943, in York and was the son of the late William A. and Ruth C. (Leash) Brown.

He graduated in 1961, from Northeastern High School in Manchester.  He was employed by Fox Bakery in York, Katherine Beecher’s Candies in Manchester and retired from Warrell Corp in 2008.   He was a lifelong member of Otterbein United Methodist Church in Mount Wolf and attended the Northeastern Senior Center.   Bill enjoyed new cars, doing magic tricks, flowers, gardening, listening to music and decorating for the holidays, Christmas being his favorite.

William is survived by his sister Sandra Haase and her husband, Rodney of Shiloh; his neices, Angela Cook and her husband, George, Kimberly Getner and her husband, Brian, his nephew Ryan Haase and his wife, Tara and his great nieces and nephews all whom he loved very much! 

His funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM, Friday, October 8, 2021, at Otterbein United Methodist Church, 131 Center Street, Mount Wolf.  Viewing will be from 10:00 to 11:00 AM Friday at the church.  Burial will be in Mount Zion Cemetery.  Officiating at his service will be Dr. Eddie D. D. Miller.
