YORK – William T. Weiss, Jr., 75 of York, PA. passed away, Friday, August 21, 2026, at UPMC Memorial Hospital in York. 

William was born June 23, 1951, in Washington, DC and was the son of the late William T. Weiss, Sr. and Anita (Mullane) Weiss.

He was an electrician and a proud member of IBEW Union Local 26, from which he had recently retired. An avid hunter who had recently discovered a love for fishing, he also enjoyed antiquing and thrifting, with a special passion for seeking out vintage colored Pyrex bowls. Bill spent most of his time around his home, which he was deeply proud of, tending to it with care and devotion. He found joy in watching Western movies and shows about hunting and fishing, simple pleasures that reflected his passions. He had also recently become a great‑great‑grandfather, a milestone that brought his family much happiness. His life reflected hard work, simple joys, and a deep appreciation for the things and people he loved most.

William is survived by his sons, Sean Weiss and his wife, Jen of York, William Weiss, III of LA California, his daughters, Jess Weiss of New Orleans, LA, Kelley McGuire of Silver Spring, MD, and Kristine Weiss of Gaithersburg, MD; eight grandchildren, four step-grandchildren; one great grandchild, his brother, Danny Weiss, and his sister, Terry Weiss of Delaware.  He was preceded in death by his brother, Tommy Weiss, and his sister, Kathy Mann.

A Celebration of Life service will begin at 3:00 PM, Saturday, August 29, 2026, at Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 87 South Main Street, Mount Wolf, PA.  His burial will be private in Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Silver Spring, MD.  Officiating at his service will be Reverend Lisa Hair.
