Obituary

Yvette I. Wire

YORK – Yvette I. (Laughman) Wire, 52, of York, passed away peacefully, Monday, August 21, 2023, at Spring Creek Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Harrisburg.  She was the companion of Michael Taylor.

Yvette was born in Bremerton, Washington and was the daughter of Chuck E. Laughman, Jr. and his wife, Jean Laughman of VA and the late mother, Margaret Cross.

She graduated from HACC with an associate degree and was currently enrolled as a student in furthering her education.  Yvette loved her two cats, Monkey and Baby.  Her favorite thing in the world was spending time with her little people, (grandchildren). She enjoyed giving the special people in her life special nicknames.

Yvette is survived by her daughter, Tiffany (Tooter Pop) Wire and her companion, Stanley McCord of York; her son, Tyler (Monkey Shine) Wire and his wife Miranda of York; 3 grandchildren, Kaiden (Punk) Wire, Kylie (Pumpkin) McCord and Kameron (Peanut) McCord; her brother, Tim Laughman of Germany, and her very special family friend, Kayla (Honey Bunny) Martinez, and her ex-husband and friend, Stephen Wire.  She was preceded in death by stepmother, Cathy Laughman who was like a mother to her and grandma Laughman.

Services for Yvette will be private.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center of Mount Wolf.

If sunflowers grow in Heaven, I would ask God to pick a bunch of them and give them to my mother.
