Annabelle Grim

MOUNT WOLF – Annabelle (Fry) Grim, 93, of Mount Wolf, passed away Thursday, March 9, 2017 at Manor Care South in York.   She was the wife of Russell Grim whom she married 73 years ago on December 8, 1943.

Mrs. Grim was born January 6, 1924 in Manchester and was the daughter of the late Paul and Edna (McCleary) Fry.

In 1941 she graduated from Manchester High School in Manchester.  She was employed Georgia Pacific for 18 years before retiring in 1979.  She also was employed by New York Wire Cloth in Mount Wolf for over 15 years and previously was employed by Weiss’s Department Store in York.  She also worked for various sewing factories in the York area.  She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Susquehanna V.F.W. Post 2493 in Mount Wolf.

In addition to her husband, Russell, Mrs. Grim is survived by two daughters, Linda Grim of Newark DE and Brenda Heckener of Dover; 4 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Her funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at The Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 87 South Main Street, Mount Wolf.  Burial will be in Mount Rose Cemetery in York.  Officiating at the service will be The Reverend Philip Nace
